Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of the Catskill Mountains, Lauren Davis is a multidisciplinary artist who draws inspiration from the rugged beauty and heartfelt struggles of rural life. Raised on a dairy farm alongside four siblings, Lauren developed an early appreciation for nature's resilience and the intricate dynamics of family and community.

In August 2024, Lauren earned a dual-degree Global BFA in Film Art from Emerson College and Paris College of Art. Her academic journey took her across major cities in Europe and the United States, where she collaborated with a diverse cohort of artists and filmmakers. These diverse experiences, combined with her rural upbringing, fuel her passion for exploring universal themes of human connection, faith, and Appalachian culture.

Working across digital and celluloid film, theatre, photography, 2D animation, oil paint, and graphite, Lauren tells grounded, emotionally resonant stories with a strong visual signature. With a concentration in cinematography and a further multidisciplinary passion, she approaches her work as an auteur dedicated to crafting immersive, meaningful cinematic experiences.

Lauren currently works as a Scenic Carpenter and Technician at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, New York, and as a Stage Technician and Photographer for the Jason Bishop: Straight up Magic in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. She is open to freelance opportunities in film and theatre, as well as fine art commissions.
